Self-funded by OpenBeam, and with one-time nominal funding support of $600 by City of Rochester's Community Building grant, Housing Beam is a web portal built on top of Al Lun's dmcbeam.org web platform. It is offered as a demo to show how a dashboard tool could be used to track Rochester Area housing progress and to make housing information sharing more consumable. 

Showcased are housing initiatives led by the City of Rochester, Olmsted County, Destination Medical Center and Rochester Area Foundation-led housing coalition.

"A final plan for dividing a 14.1-acre Mayo Clinic parking lot into developable sections is expected to be reviewed Monday by the Rochester City Council. The site, being dubbed “West Transit Village,” sits between Second Street Southwest and Cascade Lake. It is currently used as a Mayo Clinic employee shuttle lot, and Mayo Clinic plans to construct a 2,500-stall parking structure."
